1st House Pluto Polarity Point with 3rd House North Node in Early 1st Individuated

How will the 1st House Evolutionary Intentions (7th House Pluto Polarity Point) manifest or be actualized relative to the 3rd House Mode of Operation (North Node) for an individual in the Early First Stage Individuated Evolutionary Condition of the Soul?

The core evolutionary intent for a Soul in the current life is reflected in the Pluto Polarity Point, which for a Seventh House Pluto individual is to be found within the First House.  Thus, the current evolutionary intent is for the Soul to learn how to choose its own life directions without dependence upon opinions or consent of others, and thus meet its own needs without reliance upon others (1st House polarity).  The Soul is questioning (1st Individuated) everything, and so will be gathering as much information as possible (3rd House North Node) in order to manifest its need to discover itself and provide a new direction for itself (1st House) in terms of its next evolutionary advance (polarity point).  In other words, the newly developing egocentric structure of the Soul will come to be based upon its ability to collect pertinent facts, and correctly interpret that data, (3rd House) which will lead in a new life path towards independence (1st House polarity).

Even though the Soul is rebelling against a consensus-defined society, it still seeks to find a place where it will fit in.  However, this developing independence does not imply the individual becoming a loner, or living without a close relationship, but instead indicates that they should additionally learn how to be alone and make their own decisions in order to more fully develop their own unique individuality (1st House polarity).  Even as the Soul is embarking upon this new evolutionary cycle (1st House), which is an outward directed energy signature, it will still seek information (3rd House) from introspection through questioning (1st Individuated) its previous behavior patterns in an attempt to establish new patterns (polarity point).

Therefore, with time required for this "˜Soul searching', these Souls will need to balance this necessity for time alone (1st House) with the need for time spent with others (7th House).  However, these others will need to be of a "˜like-minded-group' (1st Individuated), and, as a side-effect, the acceptance into this new group will help these Souls to leave behind their compensatory behavior (7th House distortion) and so begin to discard the trappings of the previous consensus behavior of their earlier life "¦ possessions, manner of living, dress, and entertainment.

Within this new group, and by extension, within their personal intimate relationships, they will come to learn not to control or block their partner's own need to initiate decisions (1st House), and this will require the Soul to learn to conduct relationships (7th House) through applying new, and not previously patterned, methods (polarity point).  As the Soul continues to discard compensatory behavior (1st Individuated), and reevaluates its individuality in respect to relationship (7th House), the Soul will also see the value in evaluating (3rd House) previous friendships and relationships which limit their freedom in self-discovery (1st House).  The Soul needs to be free enough (1st House) to be available both for those "˜awakening' experiences which come of their own, and those experiences which must be sought out and discovered for one's self "¦ experiences which will lead to further growth of their developing self-identity (1st Individuated).
This need/desire for freedom must be understood by the individual in a balanced way, an understanding which will be facilitated through seeking those who are going through, or have already gone through, this very process of self-discovery.  It not only requires that the partner learn to support independence in this individual (1st Individuated), but also that the individual must reciprocally learn to support their partner's independence.  This type of voluntary participation within the relationship in a mutually dependent way will thus encourage inter-pendence and not co-dependence with both of the partners.  Thus, since the Soul seeks/needs/desires those relationships in which they them self can be free while simultaneously providing freedom for their partner, this then rules out relationships which are co-dependant.  Therefore, succumbing to a powerful personality (7th House distortion) who claims to have the truth (9th South Node) will then not be a potential downfall for an individual seeking independence (1st House) through accepting these evolutionary lessons of the Pluto polarity point.

The initial individuating sense of "˜feeling different' which once generated compensatory behavior (7th House distortion) will develop into the knowledge that they actually are different (1st House), and this difference is not only acceptable, but is actually the way that the Cosmos functions (Natural Law: 9th South Node).  The information that the Soul has collected (3rd House North Node) will enable this understanding, broadening the Soul's understanding of itself as a single being (1st House) and as a being able to function in relation to others (7th House), and in relation to the Natural Laws of the Cosmos itself (9th House).
The individual will then learn within relationships (7th House) to give to the other so the others' needs can be met, and, when a true balance in the relationship is achieved, the partner will also give freely back to the individual so that their own needs can thus be met as well.  In this way, the Soul will actually be sharing information and so teaching (3rd North Node) the truth (9th House) through its own example of self-discovery (1st Individuated) to those others (7th House) who also desire to experience and facilitate the evolution of their own Soul.

A new understanding is mandated by this new cycle of life direction (1st House), and this understanding will be built through the accumulation of facts, and subsequent collation of this information (3rd North Node), through a wide-ranging process, including through reading, through self-discovery/self-enhancement workshops and conferences, and through studying the cultures, spiritual beliefs and history of the world (1st Individuated).  If financially possible, as this new cycle of becoming (1st House) gathers momentum, the individual may very well take the step of leaving their current job for one which more accurately reflects that growing sense of self-identity (1st Individuated), or may just do whatever work pays the bills in this interim period of intense self-discovery.

This need to collect information (3rd House), both about the developing self (1st Individuated) and the actual reality of the Cosmos (9th House), will allow the Soul to either recover from, or avoid completely, the 9th House (South Node) distortion of not listening to any belief or idea which conflicts with its own past belief structure (consensus).  Also, the possibility that the Soul will come to believe itself to have a unique understanding of The Truth (distortion: 9th South Node), leading to the belief system becoming static and unchanging, will be greatly diminished both through the intense study (3rd House) of the world's cultures, spiritual beliefs and history, and also through its choice of relationships (7th House) combined with the ensuing dialogues (3rd House) concerning philosophical and metaphysical truth (9th House) and cosmological discussions concerning the self-directed choice of a life path (1st House, 1st Individuated).
This itself will then lead to the removal of the Soul's previous security need to only accept relationships with those people who hold beliefs which concur with its own, and thus already agree with the Soul's previously "˜hardening' belief system.  The individual's belief system itself will begin to expand into an understanding, based on actual facts (3rd House), of the Natural Law (9th House) through which the Cosmos functions, outside of any man-made belief systems, dogmatic assertions or unquestioned assumptions and convictions (9th House distortion).

The information collected in this search (3rd House) will continue the process of the expansion of their self-awareness and consciousness, and will eventually lead toward an innate understanding of the value of an individual's freedom (1st House) to discover the meaning of the world (9th House) for themselves.
Thus, as these lessons are learned, these individuals will be very giving people, able to easily identify the needs of the other within the context of the others' own realities, and thus provide exactly what the others' need.  Additionally, they will come to learn the lesson of when to give and when not to give in the context of the larger view of the specific evolutionary needs of others.

In this quest (1st Individuated), the Soul will be initiating discussions (3rd House) with others (7th House) in an attempt to uncover and understand the truth (9th House) about itself, others and the Cosmos.  The Soul will feel the need to test its understanding (3rd House) of its newly changing life-direction (1st House) and its developing self-identity (1st Individuated) both within these discussions and through its relationships (7th House) with others, and so this new direction will itself help to Soul to not fall prey to another possible distortion: losing touch with its own unique individuality and developing personal belief system through an involvement in too many relationships and thus being subjected to too many differing viewpoints.

However, the Soul needs to be vigilant that it does not begin to collect information simply for the sake of collecting information (distortion; 3rd North Node), leaving the quickly-purchased books unread, or the new workshop techniques unpracticed, or the insights garnered from intense discussions left unheeded.  Also, an extreme amount of information, without a clear connecting structure, can lead to dissipation, not enhancement, of the individual's mental capacities and thus possibly slow down the desired growth of self-awareness.
If the Soul can develop a desire/process to constantly link this multitude of facts and sheer data collection back to a point of stability (South Node), which is the knowledge of the actual reality of the Cosmos (9th House), then the parameters of Natural Law can itself provide the framework upon which a foundation to interpret this information can be provided.

The lessons of the First House Pluto Polarity Point will lead the individual to learn to be inwardly balanced in any external situation, and so have a firmer grasp upon their own identity, even in the face of pressure from other outside viewpoints, values, beliefs, or even ideas.  These lessons will also lead to the individual truly appreciating the complex diversity of human nature, and, through realizing their own unique individuality, they will be able to place that individuality within the context of human society.  They will thus themselves give this conceptual lesson to others through their own living example, the concept of which is that every individual does on their own have the ability to discover who they are, and additionally the courage to THEN BE THAT.

The individual may then possibly even move further into the Individuated State, and find their own voice through disseminating their carefully collated collection of information (3rd North Node), possibly even choosing to share this idea of individual self-empowerment (1st House) as a human right (Natural Law: 9th House), and in that way help others to identify those areas in their own relationships (7th House), both with others and within themselves, that have succumbed to distortion.

Bradley, Stephan, Linda, Michelle, and Ari..........

Ok, feels like it's time to move forwards with our practice chart. We will stay with this one and now add the location of the planetary rulers for the S. and N.Nodes. Let's put the planetary ruler of the S.Node in the 11th House, and the location of the N.Node in the 4th House. And please keep in mind that we are, again, talking about a Soul just moving into the 1st stage individuated: within the last few lifetimes.

So let's have a go at it.

Rad

OK...

Soul: Early First Stage Individuated
4- 7th House Pluto with 9th House South Node, 11th House South Node Ruler
5- 1st House Pluto Polarity Point with 3rd House North Node, 4th House North Node Ruler

Thanks Rad for allowing us to keep this thread active, and for monitoring our work.

Blessings,
Stephen

Sure, thanks for asking.

With the "mode of operation" to develope on the evolutionary journey being 3rd house(process of inquiry, discovery of information/ideas, conversations, journaling to mentally process, etc.) and the facilitator of this "mode of operation" being in the 4th house, the most basic connection I can initially make is that this person needs to develop their own inner security to be able ask the questions that really count and have the courage(PPP 1rst) to initate the conversations that are truely transformative and very "real".

My confusion was that, initially, my mind was logically thinking that someone would have this happen in a reverse direction-like the 3rd house experiences would lead to the development of the 4th house sphere.
So, it is currently more challenging to imagine how one develops the 3rd house experiences thru the 4th.
Does my above writing grasp the basics of how the ruler in the 4th would facilitate the evolutionary mode of operation-in this case the north node in the 3rd?

I'm hoping i somewhat answered my own question, but need some feedback to process this.
thank you again,

You are on the right track relative to what constitutes 'security' for the person in this example. Read, in Wolf's book , the first one, the section on 4th House Pluto's. This should help you flesh this in.

Hi, I had a specific question regarding Stephen's post #148:"Pluto 7th/s.n. 9th/early individuated"

Stephen, you wrote: "Since they are moving through the early stages of the Individuated Soul State, these principles will not be based upon a religious context (consensus reality), but instead will be founded upon the Soul's own developing spiritual context."

My question is: How is it that we know for sure we can rule out the possibility of exeriencing spirituality and new perspectives on natural laws thru study of religion from another culture?
It makes sense that it would be a casting off of the consensus reality's accepted "mainstream" religion.
If anyone would like to speak more on this, it would be a blessing.

Stephen, thank you for your contributions, it is a blessing.
and the same to everyone here.
thanks,

To current and future begining students of EA:

Perhaps you feel a bit shy to chime in with such stellar EA astrologers posting here.
I've been thinking often about how valuable both sides of the spectrum are.
We learn a lot from reading posts of those who grasp the principles and concepts of EA and can verbalize it clearly and fully.
AND ALSO, it is just as valuable to here how we attempt to interpret when we don't know for sure.
The direct feedback we are able to recieve here to understand our mis-interpertations is amazing to accelarate a true knowing of this body of knowledge.
Just a little encouragement and vote of confidence for us beginers to chime in.

Hi all,
Reading over Stephen's latest post, I had this question come to me.
So, of all the stages of evolution of the soul, it is currently my understanding that the early(1st) stages of the individuated state brings the greatest need for the soul to currently come into their own independent sense of self(at the start of throwing off the limits of consensus reality) and develop freedom in their life to do this work.
In regards to houses that pluto could be in, it is my current understanding that the 7th house pluto(w/ppp 1st) suggests more than any other pluto placement the need for the soul to begin to be independent in their experience of self before entering relationship.  Also, this process of freeing the self and realizing the self.(An 8th house pluto was the only other placement that I knew of that would be similar in developing self reliance and sense of self)
So, the question is, as much as this combination of evolutionary stage and pluto's house placement emphasize the same direction, is this the most this direction would be pointed to from all the possible combinations of pluto by house and current evolutionary stage?

We can not know that for sure, and, in fact, it is common at this stage of evolution for the Soul to do just that because, at this stage, it is learning the 'relativity' of 'truths' defined by various and varied philosophies or religions. Via the 7th House S.Node this then set's in motion a process of comparison and evaluation that satisfies the desire of the Soul to break free from the defining religion/ philosophy of the culture of birth.

Actually, the most difficult, at this stage of evolution, is the 4th House Pluto.

Rad

Rad,

That is very very kind and gracious of you...after only a handful of postings on my part!

Thanks very much for the encouragement.  I am taking copious notes looking for the 'rules of the paradigm abstract at the conceptual level' (as the saying goes).  I think that if I develop skill in reading a chart through the definitive parameters of the EA Paradigm, then I leave the door open for the possibility of development of a focused intuition, which will come through me from the God'dess and will also then be within the parameters of the EA Paradigm.

I would say again to anyone wanting to learn this paradigm...from my point of view (as a beginner to Astrology), absolutely purchase not only Pluto volume I by Jeffrey Wolf Green, but definitely purchase Pluto and Your Karmic Mission by Deva Crystal Green, as well.
Additionally, budget in the EA Coursework consisting of DVDs with JWG actually teaching classes, as soon as possible.

Blessings to you for your help Rad,

Hi Bradley J,

You are welcome...and thanks for that kind compliment!
(I am trying to skim the responses, without reading any that speak on the current assignment, so that I can stay current with the board.)

A good question...

As I understand it, a Soul within the consensus reality evolutionary stage, correlating with Saturn, can be identified by its adherence to a definite (and therefore defining) structure, and thus to previously defined man-made structures (an example being religion).
A Soul in the Individuating stage, correlating with Uranus, can alternatively be recognized by its rebellion against defining structure and the inherent limitations introduced through the very process of definition [a thing is defined as 'this' which implicitly contains 'not-this'].  In other words, when something is defined/described, you are being told what it is...but are also simultaneously learning the myriad things which it is not and cannot be.
The early Individuating Soul is in a state of intense questioning, while at the same time attempting to throw off (rebel against) defining structures, one of which is the man-made protocol of religion.  So, in its quest to uncover the 'Truth of Reality', so to speak, its questioning would lead the Soul to seek answers from any source (including religions) while at the same time not adhering to the provided context of that source (religion in this example), but instead adhering to the parameters of its own developing spiritual context.  The information/lessons/experiences could additionally come from any particular religion, mainstream or alternative, but the defining structure will no longer come from those sources, but will instead come from within the questioning Individuating Soul.

I don't think the Individuating Soul would "rule out" ANY source, unless possibly a distortion is present in that person's thinking.  What I mean by that is"¦it seems possible that the early individuating person could 'turn against' a certain viewpoint in absolute rebellion (distortion).  For example: perhaps a Roman Catholic in first individuated could turn against the very concept of Catholicism in the early intense questioning phase, and move 180 degrees away (polarity) from that teaching in order to break away from any indoctrination which is constraining the Soul.  However, that "˜break-away' phase could be limited in duration by the very intensity of their questioning, and then afterwards, they may perhaps find something of value in those previously discarded teachings.

This is the understanding of this issue that I currently have, and would not only welcome correction and further insights, but actually request them!

Blessings,
Stephen
