PRACTICE CHARTS

Here's what I'll add to all this-

I think at its core the 10th house= inner trust in self-ability, self-authority. In this case, trusting themselves that they are trained enough, prepared enough, credible enough, responsible enough to do the learning, writing, communication, data collecting etc implied in the 3rd house.

If the focus was on gathering information which lead to a transmutation of limitations, then 10th house tells us that self-credibility has been the key facilitator for that. They would have naturally found reflection for their level of inner self-credibility through the particular social or institutional status quo they lived in.

Hi All,

Ok, so let's now move to the natural polarity point of the 8th House Pluto: the 2nd House. This core bottom line will, in essence, correlate to the Souls current life Evolutionary Intentions as measured against the existing dynamics/ archetypes of the 8th House. For those of you who are relatively knew to Evolutionary Astrology you may wish to read in Wolf's Pluto One book about Pluto in the 8th House, then read Pluto in the 2nd as a way of helping you in this analysis. So let's have a go at it !

Security for this soul has been dependent on obtaining knowledge that is linked to social credibility. That naturally implies an obsession with fulfillment via that which exists on the outside. The 8th house Pluto desires continual evolution, however it has been limiting it's evolution by continuously outsourcing it's security towards the aforementioned desires.

The second house polarity implies the need for the soul to own that it alone is the source of it's limitations. Becoming the crucible for it's own transformation.

In essence this points to the need to stop creating "security" via merging with others and/or power symbols ouside of itself. Instead learning to fulfill those security needs from it's own inner resources.

The symbol in the 8th pluto signifies that a limit has been reached and an evolutionary INTENSITY developed within the soul prior to the current life: this conditon demands very intense evolutionary changes...metamorphic changes -- even if that comes as cataclismic on the ego level. Meaning the whole life structure that the ego developed could at one point fall apart without a warning...the inward intensity symbolised by 8th house pluto is enourmous, for both forces, the resistance and the evolutionary pull is at its peak....so cataclismic changes are highly likely in one way or another with this placement ..... ;D
Why? Simply because we have the archetype of intensity of the opposing forces doubled here: 8 house AND pluto itself...The famous volcano effect has been set forth under the surface...

In this case, in the past, merging with others lead to some kind of social power (in one way or another) therefore the security needs symbolised by pluto were attached to symbols of power (and of people) via which the soul was able to create the whatever social status as an implementation to fulfil its deepest security needs. The current evolutionary need is to stop this unconscious inner dynamic, and remove the connections (the merging) with all those power symbols and all those people who embodied this for the soul......this is EXTREMELY difficult for any soul with this symbolism, for all the soul knows is how to identify itself through the whatever connections and merging. This was the base of its deepest security...

Yet, now the goal is to see itself without any of it (usually after some devastation of feeling let down, being used, betrayed, forced, attacked etc. etc. I must add: these feelings are relative to how the soul FEELS inwardly because this is the point when the famous rug has been pulled under it's feet; so these feelings MAY or MAY NOT reflect the actual reality)
So at one point the soul needs to find itself without the old security structures and it needs to become aware of it's own inner resoursces, abilities, strengths, talents etc. etc. that the soul has totally INDEPENDENT of others, and anything outside of itself.

The evolutionary need is to learn utilising these inner resources on it's own. This also means learning to fulfil its own survival needs so to become totally independent of others - and in doing so find a totally new basis for the desperately sought INNER SECURITY.

Great input! PLuto's polarity point in the 2nd house, and the South Node then being 9th house would signify that the essential self-reliance would come through creating a holestic understanding of all the information/data (south node in the 3rd house) that has been absorbed from the external enviornment. The Soul's belief system is critical because it would have to allow a transmutation of the intellectual limiations of the past reflected by the 8th house Pluto and south node in the third house. the individual could have  natural teaching abilities that could be actualized in order for self-reliance to be estbalished. Alignment with natural laws/principles that teach such self- reliance, and is not based on cultural conditioning is vital as well. This evolution would alllow the person to align with natural metaphysical principles that truly resonate with the individual on an intutive level, and serve to promote an alignment with his or her natural identity/individuality as well.

The symbols of transformative power (8th) are ideas (3rd) that explain the social reality (10th).

Intellectual power was used to fulfil social ambitions, to establish his authority, or to show how powerful he was to others in society.

The 2nd house current life evolutionary intention is for self-reliance, to discover from within himself and rely on his own internal values and personal resources for self-sustainment, on whatever level.

The compulsive dependency on powerful 8th house symbols is minimized - because he is identifying himself as his own personal symbol of transformation.

Will cease to manipulate others, and will learn to dance to the beat of his own drum.

Will discover the core of himself away from linkage to other powerful people, information or symbols.

Hi Rad,

Just wondering if we are going to continue with this thread?

Thanks...Linda

Rad

Hi Linda,

Yes, I would like to continue with chart practice but it seemed that there was a dwindling interest in this thread which is why it just seemed to stop. So I think what I would like to do is start a new one, and approach it differently. What I am thinking right now is to create a new example and then have those that are interested review the various archetypes in Wolf's first book on Pluto: Pluto in the different houses and signs. It would seem to me if we did it in this way we could have a much deeper and more complete analysis as we went through the exampled chart. Let me know if you feel you would like to do it in this way. Would like to see too if others would like to do it in this way. If so, for those who are reading this post, please respond to this and let me know.

Rad:

I would like to do it in the way you suggested, plus a diversity of others ways in the future if you wish - it's all good!

It seems there are different levels of participants, from beginners to advanced.  I am happy to do it along with the more advanced practitioners as this is a great way to learn.

May I offer a few suggestions?

  • To commence a new thread for each practice session or each example chart, so that they can easily be referred to later on.

  • To give each chart a name, eg PRACTICE CHART:  Sue, Peter, etc.

  • To commence a special thread that contains a LIST of everything we've covered, the first one being:

    Name:  PRACTICE CHARTS

    Date commenced:   24 March 2009

    Areas covered:  Pluto 8th / SN 3rd / SN Ruler 10th

Contributors:  Rad, Deva, Issa, Sajani, Lia, Michelle, Stacie, Linda, ari moshe, cranberry, inyo, gruff, Kristin, yarrow8, birdwhistler, david, PamS

Thanks!

PS:  Perhaps occasionally we could work on REAL charts of ourselves, friends, famous people, etc.

adina

Linda, there are two "real" charts being analyzed now on the MB: Stephen's and mine. Jump in anywhere you like!

Linda

Adina:

Over the years, I've thoroughly enjoyed reading and constantly refer to JWG's Pluto I - and I use the Pluto dynamic all the time.  I know nothing about the planetary nodes.

Thanks for your encouragement Adina!  I will try and jump in on the threads you mentioned.

Rad

Hi All,
If anyone else wants to try to do practice charts, abstract ones instead of the real life ones that are already on the message board, this is your time now to let me know.

Rad

Rad,
I am very new to this message board and ea, but would like to study some abstract charts as well as real life ones too. Thanks,  Heather

ari moshe

im definitely down for more abstract practice charts.

stephen

All,

I am interested, even though my input might be slight (other than mental cut-and-paste, so to speak).
Still, I read these postings with great interest.

:)

Blessings,
Stephen
