Clarifying the Juno Archetype

Hi Rad, I'd like to deepen my understanding of this archetype from an EA perspective. I have a very rudimentary understanding of Juno, but I have not yet grasped the greater evolutionary meaning/implications of this asteroid.

Here's a quote from the asteroid goddess thread:

QuoteJuno, in natural law, correlates to the power of commitment to one other where both in that commitment are themselves defined by Natural Laws: the natural masculine, and the natural feminine. Juno correlates in this way to the power of each to help facilitate the growth and evolution of the other, and thus the ongoing evolution of themselves within the context of the committed relationship. Additionally, Juno correlates, in Natural Law, to the evolution of our sexuality within the context of a committed relationship: to the point where the deepening sexuality between the two  becomes a vehicle of Soul evolution. In the end, it correlates to using the vehicle of sexuality to create a trance state wherein the inner Godhead can be experienced within because of the trance like state that suspends the ego in such a way that a gravitational shift occurs, for certain amount of time, so that the center of gravity is then in the Soul itself.

This is very different that the patriarchal conditioning of 'faithfulness' correlates mainly to the women being expected to remain faithful even as the patriarchal man gives himself the right to be with others, while maintaining his 'committed' relationship to his partner. The typical dual standards and hypocrisy that emanates from the patriarchy in every way.

QuotePatriarchal distortions:

* the "powerless" woman vowed to an unequal marriage
* the "little woman" behind the big man
* the "battered wife" in domestic violence
* the "neurotic wife" whose needs are thwarted
* the "shrew" of violent temper and speech
* the wife "tied to the kitchen sink"
* marital collapse:  the unfaithful husband and the betrayed wife
* the woman denied expression of her natural self
* the sexless marriage
* the rejected, victimized, and displaced woman

Revival of natural expression for the Asteroid Goddess, Juno:

* equality and balance in relationships
* need for commitment and consistency
* need for joy, passion, intimacy and humour
* mutual sharing, love, honesty and understanding
* women reclaiming their power
* full expression of one's creativity
* the need for space for oneself
* self-sufficient rather than co-dependent relationships

My questions/clarifications.
1. Can Juno also relate to non sexual relationships, such as business, or anything that involves commitment and thus growth between two parties?

2. Not everyone is in a committed relationship or married at all times in their life, and so I'm just unclear about how to apply the Juno archetype on a more internal level. For example, Venus clearly has an inner and outer dimension, because what we attract without reflects what is within. Is the answer to this that at the core Juno corresponds to inner marriage, one that is enabled via the conscious commitment of two souls to come together for the purposes of self-realization?

Hi Ari,

My questions/clarifications.

Can Juno also relate to non sexual relationships, such as business, or anything that involves commitment and thus growth between two parties?

Commitment, and growth, as as archetypes, correlates with Scorpio, the 8th House, and Pluto that apply to an individual as well as between two people in any context. EA has taught that all the core archetypes in total are symbolized and reflected in the planets, signs, and houses. Asteroids, in general, can symbolize and reflect in their own way individual aspects of those archetypes. Thus, Juno can reflect the archetype of commitment and growth within  the individual Soul, and between two Souls, in addition to the core signatures of these archetypes within the total birth chart. When sexualized it manifests between two souls as above.

In it's own way, as an addition, relative to the core archetypes symbolized by the relevant planets, houses, and signs, yes.

Thank you Rad,

May I share what I am able to grasp regarding the current Juno stationing direct on the south node of the Moon in Sag and receive your feedback/ guidance? Clearly a culmination of a cycle, happening after several months of moving back and forth in Sag. So this feels like a great way to connect more directly with the Juno archetype.

Thanks Rad.
Here are just some basic reflections on this that feel intuitive to me.

This conjunction implies the culmination of an entire cycle and thus is a calling for resolution and self-honesty relative to living and committing ourselves to what is relevant to living in our authentic soul path. Commitments, be it to others or a path in life that will lead us further within to inner union. In terms of relationship, it's about looking honestly at existing beliefs/ ideas and healing whatever Juno dynamics need to be healed.

Unresolved Juno karmic dynamics here can be: sustaining relationships that are unequal in which one has more power/freedom than the other - all rooted in the Sag need to be free, all the while living in hypocrisy. The extent to which a soul is identified with alienation, not being understood, needing to be "somewhere else", then this Juno can speak to a culmination of dynamics that relate to dishonesty, running away, entering into relationships in which one is always keeping the door open to escape and in that sense creating double standards.
Another dynamic would be the fear of commitment based on not wanting to lose freedom and thus healing restlessness/facing this pattern with honesty so that a new cycle of growth can begin.

In terms of fruitive dynamics, this can reflect a station where we become aware of the entire cycle and make the choice to commit ourselves, to enter into relationship in the ways that will foster and support greater evolutionary growth. Also key soul contracts between people that are meant to be seen and recognized with clear vision and honesty so that the necessary commitments/ decisions can be made to initiate the new evolutionary cycle.

Hi Ari,

Thanks for sharing.
