Death chart/transit from EA point of view?

Hi Rad

What is EA point view to look at a death event chart, and transit to Natal? Can we look at Pluto and Nodes condition, to understand what soul has developed or finished in this life time, and what would be the potential evolutionary lessons for next, or understand the energy when the soul left physical plane? For example, if Pluto conjunct SN in the death event chart, does this signature itself means anything, or it only has meaning when it contact natal planet(s)/point(s)? Another condition is if tranist Pluto at the death time conjunct individual's natal Mars, would it mean that this person consiously ready to leave this life, to move on, and will the house/sign/aspect of transit Pluto/Natal Mars indicate where soul start next life time, like what desire/lessons to work on?

Thank you as always

Wei

Rad

Hi Wei,

All in EA is relative to the individual reality of any given Soul: their individual evolutionary and karmic context. Thus, the need to understand the EA paradigm in each chart, and the degree of evolutionary development as you know. Thus, it is necessary to know how any given Soul has lived their life until the moment of the physical death of the body: all the choices that were made or not made relative to the natal EA paradigm.

Understanding this will inform us of where the Soul has left off at the moment of transition. And it is this understanding that is then used to understand the meaning of the 'death chart': the natural synastry with the natal chart of the Soul. So it's not possible, given what you have asked, to know what any given symbol, i..e transiting Pluto conjunct a natal Mars, means unless the knowledge necessary about the Soul's life is understood.

God Bless, Rad

Thanks Rad, that gives me very clear idea how to start with it.

Thank you Wei for this interesting topic. I, too, often think about these indicators and I have studied the death carts of loved ones to attempt to understand correlations between current transits and the natal chart; as well as the synastry between the natal and death chart. Being death is the other spectrum of birth, we should be able to understand something about the life of the native through the synastry of the two charts, although I have never read or heard anyone address these correlations. I am in agreement with Rad that we must look to the individual evolution state upon birth and then the expressions of the life that unfolded within the native's lifetime. I would even intuit that exists indicators in the death chart as to where the native leaves off this life their evolutionary status.
I am curious if JWG ever addressed the death chart; or transits to natal chart that are indicators to the death of the native. Exists videos or writings from JWG on this topic? As with all work of JWG, I would be most interested in reading and or viewing his perspective on this topic if anyone has a link.
I have heard astrologers speak to the nature of a Jupiter transit and the death of a native that I have been able to extrapolate correlations to the natal chart in order to understand nature of the death chart and the conditions that enable the manifestation of the death. Specifically, when Jeff Jawer passed a few years ago, Rick Levine spoke extensively about the Jupiter transits that Jeff was experiencing to his natal chart upon his death. Maybe some of you remember this. Rick stated that Jeff had a Jupiter transit during his passing. I too have reflected on a loved ones passing, in this case, a suicide, and I saw my loved one was having a Saturn transit in the death chart. I have never cast a synastry chart between my specific loved ones natal and death chart but I am now intrigued.
I am aware that these are sensitive subjects, and as all astrological counseling requires us astrologers to respect the sacredness of birth and death.
Thank you for your input on this most sensitive topic.

There are no specific videos or writings on this topic by JWG. In essence, he taught what was written above about understanding the individual evolution of each Soul relative to it's evolutionary state, and the specific evolutionary and karmic reasons for any given birth as symbolized in the EA paradigm for any given Soul. Within that knowing what the individuals life has been about relative to the choices made throughout the life relative to that paradigm that then determine the exact individual context, their actual reality, that then allows for a precise understanding of the nature of the death moment as symbolized in the transits at the moment of passing.

The reality for all Souls is that wherever we leave off in any given life is exactly where we pick it up from in the next life: all the existing and ongoing evolutionary desires of the Soul. The current life birth chart reflects this, and the next life birth chart reflects this as the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth continues on.

All,

I thought it would be interesting given the nature of this thread to post the birth and death charts of both Yogananda and his guru Yukteswar who passed on March 9, 1936. Yogananda passed on March 7, 1952. His passing was considered a 'miracle' by western scientists because he body did not manifest any rigamortis, fungus, or decay of any kind for the 30 days it laid in state. His body was still supple, and actually emanated the scent of roses during this time. It was considered as 'immutable' by the scientists because there was 'no toxins' to be found of any kind in his body.

You can see this symbolized in his death chart relative to his natal chart: the Mars transit in Scorpio in his 3rd opposing his 9th house natal Ceres, the transiting Jupiter in Aries in his 8th on top of his natal Jupiter, the transiting Ceres in Aries in the 8th on top of his natal Mars among other transits. He told some of his disciples before his transition on that day that he has a 'big day coming today'. On that day he was scheduled to do a talk/ lecture for some big conference at a major hotel in Los Angeles, California. He had said long before this day that that the final words that would come out of his mouth would be about India. And that is exactly what happened when he reached the end of his talk at that conference. When those final words about India came out of his mouth he turned slightly to his left and dropped down. He has passed at the moment. His physical form was left to lie in state for 30 days after.

He also said that after the life of being Yogananda that his Soul would rebirth exactly 250 years later in India. This was to satisfy his life long desire as Yogananda to live in the Himalayas in a mountain cave which was perpetually thwarted in the life of Yogananda every time he tried to run to the Himalayan mountains. He said too that in that next life he would gather to him his closest disciples.

I am posting his natal chart in bi-wheel form in which the transiting planets at his death are on the outer ring, and the chart for his next life in bi-wheel form in which his natal chart is in the inner wheel, the next life planets the outer wheel. The date of of birth for his next life is Sunday March 7, 2202.

I am also posting the natal and death chart of his guru Yukteswar. As you can see the transiting Sun was on top of his 8th House Neptune: he passed while in a state of super consciousness as evidenced by the fact that his body was in a lotus position at that moment of passing. His natal Neptune was 17 Pisces, the transiting Sun at the passing was 18 Pisces, and the next life Sun for Yogananda will be 17 Pisces. Perfect symbols for them being together again on this Earth in that next life of Yogananda's.

RAD,
Thank you so very much for these charts, and opportunity to enhance my understanding. I am going to study the charts and ponder before I comment or ask a question. In Joy! Your chocolate astrologer, Christina

All,

Thought I would post a few more pictures of Yogananda in his death of immutability, and pictures of Yukteswar at the moment of his passing .. a state of superconsciousness as reflected in his body being in the lotus position at the moment of that passing.

Hola RAD and fellow members,
I have been studying these charts that you posted RAD and they have taken me down a deep intellectual think-tank, spurring more questions and ponders. Thank you so very much.
What was most remarkable for me, was the fact that Yogananda passed while in the midst of a simultaneous Jupiter AND a Saturn return, with both Jupiter and Saturn (in natal opposition), by TRANSIT, are in a new phase to the natal placements. Hence, the commencement of a stage of evolution, and the beginning of a new one. Additionally, upon Yogananda's passing transiting Saturn (13 Libra) is Balsamic  to Transit Neptune (21 Libra). I gleen from this that the stuctures (Saturn) of  the spiritualizing (Neptune) resources, values and ethics (2nd house), are outdated (balsamic) and need to compost for a new cycle of evolution to begin with respect to the Saturn and Neptune synodic cycle.
Being that Yogananda was born with Pluto Neptune New Phase, and upon death, transiting Neptune in a first quarter or crisis in action phase to the natal Neptune. This is where Yogananda left off; in a crisis in action. What I understood from prior posts to this thread by RAD  is that the native will pick up where the native left off. If we look to the "Yogananda birth chart with next life planets at birth" that RAD posted we see Yogananda's next life Neptune (10 Capricorn) in a disseminating sesquiquadrate phase to the original birth chart of Yogananda. Right? This implies a frustrated aspect to integrating or disseminating the spiritualizing functions back into society. We can look to the state of his organization and followers upon his passing and see this being a reflection of this phase, as to where it is he is to pick up his spiritualizing function in the next life.
But before I get too ahead of myself, I want to point out another noteworthy aspect in the bi-wheel chart depicting Yoganada's birth and passing. The transit nodes (0 Virgo) are square to the natal Pluto (8 Gemini).  Pluto square the nodes is that not a skipped step? How do we interpret this? The unresolved node is the north node (0 Pisces). (Hmmm..... I am still very much pondering this line of reasoning and I would very much appreciate any and all input on this.) My challenge, is that Yogananda is not someone who comes to mind when I think of as creating skipped steps.... I would appreciate any expansion on this skipped step in this chart. I noted as well that the natal moon is in a balsamic conjunction to the transit south node (0 Virgo).
I  also noted that in the birth and passing chart of Yogananda, that transit Uranus (9 Cancer) was in a last quarter square to the natal mars (5 aries); or in other words, a crisis in consciousness or belief. Being the natal Mars is located in the 8 house, I read this mean the challenges that the life had received from others and things out of his control to liberate  from Society and others the true Spiritualization of a Soul and the return to Source. Or in other words, at the moment of death, the challenges of spiritualizing on a grand scale, in a revolutionary way for all of Gaia (cancer in the 11th). RAD spoke to the Ceres Mars conjunction. I would like it to expand more on the interpretation of that, as I didn't quite understand the implication of  Ceres and it's relationship to Mars.
Lastly, I had a difficult time duplicating the ephemeris for the year 2202. Most contemporary ephemeris' end in 2100. I was able to locate 2 but both do not show the Pluto placement for 2202 at 22 degrees of Gemini. They show it at 26 Leo. I tend to doubt the authenticity of these online ephemeris', especially since we know that the Pluto cycle is 248 years. If possible, RAD would you please reference your ephemeris as well as confirm the date you generated the chart was 7 March 2202, Gorakhpur, India (?) and the time of birth. You said that Yogananda maintained that he would reincarnate EXACTLY 250 YEARS later; is that from his death moment? I would like to try and duplicate this chart (his next incarnation) but I am uncertain as to the future birth statistics (namely time and place). I am fascinated by this fact, that if so be it, Yogananda's next incarnation will be a Pluto in Gemini in a new phase relationship to north node. Exemplifing that numerous lifetimes a soul takes to exhaust the expression and lessons of a archetype.
I feel as though I have so much more thinking to do on this topic and I appreciate having stellar charts such as the life and future lives of Paramahansa Yogananda as my guide and teacher, with the aid of the Evolutionary Astrology tools and teachings of JWG.

Here is the only other online ephemeris that I could find for the year 2202.

Hi Chocolate Astrologer,

First, the Solar Fire astrological chart calculator accurately creates charts for the years involved here. Second, the skipped steps symbolized in his death chart reflect his unresolved desire to live in a cave in the Himalayan mountains in the life of Yogananda. That skipped step is then symbolized, recovering it, actualizing it, in the next life birth chart. This is a perfect example of a Soul picking up where it left off. This is seen relative to his natal Venus and Mercury in Sagittarius squaring the next life Nodal Axis, as well as his Uranus in Cancer at 4 degrees squaring the Lunar Nodes at 24 Pisces and Virgo in the next life birth chart. The ten degree orb reflects this 'final' resolution of that skipped step.

The transiting Mars in Scorpio opposed Ceres in Taurus, 3rd to 9th, was intended by his Soul to demonstrate, prove, the truth of his teachings by way of creating a condition wherein his body was immutable at the moment of death. That Ceres is ruled by his 4th House Venus in Sagittarius, opposed by his Neptune/Pluto in Gemini in the 10th. No one knows, because he did not say, exactly where he would be born, or what the time of birth would be. Here is a link to future dates: https://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadded.html?m1=03&d1=07&y1=1952&type=add&ay=250&am=&aw=&ad=&rec=

Hola RAD,
Thank you very much. I do not (currently) use Solar Fire. (Once again, another reason why I should.) Thank you for sharing the calculator of future and past date and times, and all of your valuable input.

I'm still thinking about these charts and I very much hope that dialogue continues.

Hi Chocolate Astrologer,

I have been checking into the next life chart for Yogananda because I could not recreate what I had posted before via Solar Fire. So I started to check other ephemeris's to make sure of the correct calculation. For example this one; http://www.true-node.com/eph1/?inputNumber=pluto%2C+sun%2C+moon%2C+venus%2C+mars%2C+&day=7&month=3&year=2202&time=00%3A00%3A00&zone=GMT+0&interval_num=1&interval=day&lines=31&calendar=Gregorian&zodiac=Tropical&origin=Geocentric&lighttime=Apparent&clock=Universal+Time&zodsec=D%B0M&longitude=on&nnode=on&snode=on&.submit=Get+Ephemeris

So apparently the Solar Fire messed up with that wrong calculation in the next life chart. Anyway I am posting here the correct chart for his next life.

Hola RAD,
Thank you so very much for this clarification. Yesterday I was able to successfully duplicate your corrected chart on solar fire, and I post it below. I've been thinking about this intently since, and I very appreciate this post.
I've printed all the charts out and I am trying to understand the proper EA methodology to interpret correlations "between lives" of a Soul. In my practice and personal study, I  always fall back on the EA protocol and JWG method of chart interpretations that I have learned through the Pluto School series as well as the Pluto books by JWG. What I want to extrapolate is how to apply the EA method to these charts (death, future and natal). Naturally I look to Pluto, the Moon and nodes, the planetary rulers, phasal relationships to planets and planetary nodes. I am uncertain, however, how to correctly apply these protocols "between lives of a Soul's" charts. Unfortunately there are not many forums or groups in which an astrologer can discuss this pertinent topic; for as a species, I believe that we are evolving beyond the scope of "this current life time," and as astrologers we need to able to address this issue, especially with clients who can and are accessing their past or future lives.
I appreciate any depth we can take in this rich example of the life and future life of Paramahausa Yogananda.  I saw some things in these charts, and I would like to learn more. I would appreciate any input.

What fascinated me about these charts is that Yogananda passed with the transit SN conjunct (balsamic) his Leo Moon (26 Leo). In his future life to be, his next Leo moon is Balsamic his next life Pluto (26 Leo) which is conjunct his last life moon (26 Leo). Being the future birth time of Yogananda is currently a mystery, and the moon moves so fast, I recast the chart for a 11:59pm time to see the max the moon could move, and that is (24 Leo), meaning that whatever the future time of birth, the next life Pluto and Moon will be balsamic and a very good chance that the next life moon will be in orb of conjunction with the last life moon. WOW! And that moon will be in a first quarter square to Jupiter (whose ruled by the inner side of Venus); additionally, that future moon will be trine Venus in Aries.
Another observation I made, is that in this future life chart, the Sun, SN, Saturn and Mercury are all conjunct in Pisces. And this stellium is all opposite that NN in Virgo, the archetype of work and service. The future life Mars in libra is new phase to the NN is telling of being of service to others through relationship in a new phase way; to me this implies a balancing of relationships (or masculine/ feminine) ...., interesting that the ruler of Mars in Libra is (the outer side of) Venus in Aries ( and Mars and Venus are in mutual reception).
Additionally, with the presence of the SN to the Sun, I was curious if that is within orb of a Lunar eclipse within a day or so after his future birth? In other words, will he be born just prior to a lunar eclipse?

I am hopeful to hear your observations, and correlations and to expand on how to read these charts correctly.
