Here is a simple truth about the nodes that I recently realized was helpful:
Every year, at the same sun degree - ALL the planetary nodes are in the same spot.
This is actually true for everyone alive on the planet right now.
If you go back hundreds of years, not true.

Recently, I was studying a chart and then the next day ended up with a reading - the person born one day prior to the chart I was just examining.
Since I was looking at the planetary nodes and had memorized the sn of mercury, venus and mars - I basically knew where those nodes fell by house and sign immediately.
So, first look at the chart, I knew sn mars was conjunct pluto, for example.
Anyway, hope this is actually helpful for some of the others here.
For example, everyone alive with a Feb 3rd/4th birthday has the sn of venus is conjunct the sn of pluto!
Those born prior, it is balsamic. Those after, it is a new phase conjunction.
