Title: Pluto opposition Pluto
Post by: Dhyana on Jan 23, 2011, 11:34 PM
I have been pondering Pluto opposition Pluto, wether in synasty or by transit.

This first thing that brought me to ponder this is that I have noticed that well, many people of the Pluto in Cancer Generation are dying right now (Pluto in Cap). Ultimate surrender and metamorphisis.

I would sense that such an opposition, in a synastry chart, would be that someone is gonna have to deeply surrender in that energy or there will be some intense pain in the relationship. Wait, would there be enough time elapsed for anyone to actually have a Pluto opposing another person Pluto, that is actually alive at the same time?

Well, I was just wondering if anyone had more insight about this and might want to share something about  Pluto opposing Pluto?

Hi Dhyana,

A Pluto opposition Pluto relationship is quite possible with the Cancer/Capricorn axis.  For example, a grandparent with Pluto in early degrees of Cancer would be around 90 years of age now, and a grandchild (or great-grandchild) with Pluto in Capricorn would be around 2 years of age.

I've seen many relationship comparisons with Pluto oppositions by HOUSE.  I had read here on the MB that the opposition by house can be quite helpful in that one soul is moving toward where the other had just been.  In my personal experience, since we're talking about Pluto, these encounters with others who have Pluto in the opposite house to mine have been extremely intense, with massive projections onto the other, and the parting of the ways quite quick.  I had to ask myself:  Why the attraction in the first place, and for what purpose?  These would most certainly be past-life contacts for the purpose of resolving past-life issues:  perhaps to each draw out unconscious previously hidden aspects from the other, so as to bring awareness, growth, and accelerated metamorphosis.

It takes Pluto about 248 Earth years for one revolution around the Sun.  However, it's transit time through the signs are irregular.  Pluto spends about 21 years in each sign (varying from 12 to 31 years).

I have an 80 y.o. friend born in 1930 (the year that Pluto was discovered!), 2nd stage spiritual, Daemon soul.  I asked him to comment on his Pluto Return, and with Capricorn correlating to "time," what he had to say is quite interesting:

"I will be alive then.  There are different stages of life.  In the first stage, the prenatal stage, the cell is dividing and becoming the fetus.  Then the child emerges at the proper time.  Then you go through your childhood, your youth period, then early manhood, then you get to the stage of advanced manhood and womanhood when you are beginning to learn wisdom.  At 40-50 years, women and men are starting to reach the sage state, wise man, wise woman, the early stages of sagacity, beginning of wisdom, croning with the woman (Pagan correlation:  3 stages of Moon).  Then you get to the stage I'm researching at the moment:  an idea of the immortality aspect of the soul (that has been suppressed by the monotheistic religions).  We never really die.  Once we depart this particular plane, ultimately we reach the Nirvana state of oneness.  In my lifetime I've seen so many changes, and an exponential expansion of knowledge and understanding which we are presently beginning to realize.  All my life has trained me for survival."

Hi Linda,

So nice to hear from you! It's funny because I was going to mention the Pluto opposition HOUSE as well, but I doubted myself about writing it (ugh, that Virgo) bc I thought maybe it was way off or something I was just imagining it significant (neptune conj Mercury sq Asc).  It was great to read what you wrote about it. I say this because, I too have noticed that those with a 1st house pluto (as i have a 7th) have a significant impact on this life, and vice versa. I seem to attract 1st house Pluto people. One main example is my son, 1st house Pluto in Sag, and he and I actually have had so many conversations together about death and dying, and he is only 9 years old! I have talked with this soul more about death than most adults. I have also noticed with him that I have to continually surrender any attempt at control.  He is a very wise soul and I have found that the only way he can hear or will listen is if he is spoken to through the energy of an being an equal. The power vs. power will not work in this situation at all. He has an incredibly strong will, and such a tender tender heart.  There is absolutely no movement if we get to where it is power vs. power, none! This child has been one of the most incredible teachers of surrendering personal control, I have ever encountered.

I find the chart you posted very helpful. And the description you gave of the stages of life, and I can taste through your example much more of the flavor of that Pluto Opposition Pluto in the late stages of the lifetime.

Thank you so much for sharing this with me. Just thank you so very much for the validation as well (re HOUSE Pluto opposite Pluto!)

Good to hear from you too Dhyana.  How interesting that your son has Pluto in the 1st house, opposite to your Pluto in the 7th.  Perhaps this is a speeding-up process in this lifetime for your souls to learn the 1st/7th lessons.  I find the Pluto polarity point not necessarily easy at all, in fact it can be quite problematic since the area is so new.  It always amazes me when interacting with someone with the opposite house Pluto the personal power that they display;  and I am sure that these types of interactions would be beneficial for the journey ahead.

Hey Ladies - I just read this post and realize in reading Dhyana's comments about Pluto oppositions by house, that a similar experience occurs with Pluto square Pluto by sign.

My nephew has Pluto in Sag and mine in Virgo, we have a definite deep connection (maybe it's also because his Scorpio Sun conjuncts my Venus Neptune).

I agree with what Linda said about Pluto oppositions by house as "extremely intense, with massive projections onto the other, and the parting of the ways quite quick". Perhaps it would have a similar affect with something like a Pluto in Scorpio person and a 2nd House Pluto person.

My brother and I both have our Moons in Taurus opposite our Plutos, and our Plutos are in opposite houses (so our Moons are opposite too), and we have discovered how to inflict psychological damage on one another that is probably taking it way too far. Our relationship is good but we tend to shelf certain topics as we will kind of fight to the psychological death otherwise.
