Hello; I am reading the Neptune whispers from eternity book, and in a Q&A section (pg37) someone asked a question "If the consensus Soul essentially goes to sleep until it's next incarnation........" What does that mean?
I'm not buying that you die and go to sleep and then wake up in a new body. Life is a school and you, and your counselors, have to choose what you need to learn and the circumstances you need to be born into. To "essential go to sleep till your next incarnation" is absurd. Any one care to elaborate on this?
Hi,
Whatever you choose to 'buy into' in your business of course. But what you are 'buying into' in nothing more than what you choose to believe. That statement/ passage in the Neptune book emanates from evolved Souls such as Yukestwar and Yogananda: what they have said and teach about what happens to Souls in the consensus state of evolution at the moment of physical death. If you wish to have an argument of disagreement with them that is of course your business and choice: but take that argument with them elsewhere: not here.

OK fair enough. I guess all I am asking is what does it mean that the Soul goes to sleep?
It's not actually sleep in the way you seem to be using the word. It's more like being subliminal awareness: like someone in a coma who appears to be asleep yet can also be aware of that which is going on around them. All Souls upon physical death become aware of the nature of the life just lived, the reasons for it, what was leaned and what wasn't learned, which then becomes the causative determinant of the next life to be lived in order to continue in their own evolution: the conditions of the next life, and why.
Again, this is specific the the consensus state of evolution in which there are three divisions within them as all the natural states of evolution have. There is an evolution through each of these natural states of evolution. The more a Soul evolves through these natural states the more 'aware' a Soul becomes of the nature of things: in the end, the nature of the manifest Creation itself. This evolving awareness for any given Soul is then reflected in it's actual experience upon physical death of the body.
If you wish to know more about this a good book by Yukestwar explains all of it. It is called The Holy Science.

That was well explained and more in line of what I thought. The word sleep threw me off. Thank you for taking the time to explain it so clearly.
