It is possible to state that when Chiron square the Moon Nodes in a composite chart it essentially means a process of necessary healing that the two souls need to go through?
I am working with a person who reports experiencing some extreme anxiety attacks after meeting a certain person. This has made her search for psychological advice and even help in the spirituality, through astrology, for example, to understand why does it seem to come to the surface so suddenly. In this chart, chiron is in the sign of Virgo, ruler sign of Mercury. Since Mercury relates to the rational mind, it makes perfect sense in my opinion that it could relate to processes of mental imbalance.

That inner reaction can be caused by many dynamics, not just the Chiron being in Virgo. And, of itself, this does not correlate to being in a state of 'mental imbalance'. It can be a perfectly natural reaction, for example, based on prior life dynamics between those two people: a soul/ cellular memory. A total EA analysis of their individual charts, then their synastry charts, and, finally the composite chart would reveal exactly the dynamics that have lead to this instinctual reactions within her soul.
It is also entirely possible that her soul is simply reacting to the NATURE of the other individual, i.e, if someone meets/ interfaces a soul who has had a violent past such a reaction would be natural.
