Title: tuning into a Pisces 8th house and Leo/Pisces inconjunct
Post by: Sabrina on Sep 21, 2015, 12:27 PM
This is a specific question, thinking of a Leo rising archetype with a Pisces 8th house.

Wondering about the vibration for Leo rising of having a Pisces 8th house, in the sense as well of the inconjunct between Leo and Pisces... how is Pisces a source of ultimate empowerment to the self-focused Leo impulse, and how does Leo come to know that through experience?

A metaphor that comes to mind is that of actor or another creative type wishing to become famous.. that desire to be universal and the kind of process of practice, continually showing up, humility, and internal adjustments it takes. In a way it is becoming universal that supports the security of the individual who is wishing to manifest a life and career around being themselves and projecting their creative essence outward. If they do not hold appeal for the masses on a deeper level, they don't get picked up for that kind of career.  shadow part of this metaphor is the famous person that becomes delusional about their own fame, unable to filter the experience or withstand the waves of attention/global identity.

The idea that Source supports people doing what they love - yet it is not necessarily EASY calls to mind the Leo-Pisces inconjunct also.

I am wondering what experiences invite a self-focused archetype to get deeper into the Pisces experience and what the RESISTANCE to that is through the filter of Leo. What is the threshold or breaking point where the Pisces 8th house is integrated and what can that look like?

Any thoughts on the Leo - Pisces inconjunct as well appreciated. I asked here once about Gemini - Scorpio and got some really thoughtful answers.

Hi Sabrina,

Here are some thoughts:

First, the symbols you are asking about will need to have more context, such as the rest of the Pluto paradigm symbols including the nodes of the Moon, the specific sociological conditioning of the individual and evolutionary level of the Soul.

One way of seeing Pisces on the Eighth House cusp is the need to metamorphose and deepen the relationship to the Source by eliminating illusions, fantasies and escapist tendencies. I would think that the highest form of empowerment for the symbol you are asking about is the alignment of the personal will (Pluto/Scorpio/Eighth House) with the Source (Pisces) to find a way to personally serve the Source thru one´s creativity and vital life force as represented by the Leo/Sun/Fifth House archetypes.

The Leo/Pisces inconjunct is relative to the personal creative expression of the Soul and how that is connected to the collective whole. My creative will VS divine will, how that which I desire to express and how my life is put together affects or contributes to the benefit of all, not on a social level relative to the social rules and traditions as that will relate to the Capricorn inconjunct, but on an essential spiritual level of being. Does my creative expression have any real depth and substance or is it only in order to shine or be famous and special or superior to others?
Is my desire one of unity (Pisces) or is it all about me myself and I (Leo)?

The humbling effect of the Source in various ways upon an overly self centeredness Leo expression, is what will induce the necessary awareness of others, and the need to contribute with its natural gifts, that the Leo archetype naturally feels the need to express. One experience that can induce this type of awareness and lesson is an artist who thinks is better than anyone else in his or her field and is faced with the reality that others are in fact better than he or she is. The breaking point could be the realization that he or she is not as great as imagined and can strive to do better, with less of an egocentric purpose but for a more noble purpose.

Hope that helps.

All the best
