I am wishing to understand if there is any basic guideline to understand the phenomenon when rulers of nodes are in aspects with each other/rulerships that create a dichotomy between past/future that is circular and apparently oppositional. I am thinking not so much as a 'rule' as in when Pluto is with the NN or such, but more of a tool or phrase that helps more intuitively to understand this dynamic, though I understand the specifics are inherently different to each soul. I posted the chart (sorry, if it is huge, I'm not computer savy - I'm not sure how to get it neat & tidy at the bottom of the page! And I forgot to choose the option of 'show south node' again, sorry) I'm looking at below.
Here the ruler of Pluto (past) and SN (past) is square nodes but applying to NN (future)to be resolved it is opposing Neptune which rules NN (future) and PPP (future) yet applies to the SN to be resolved & it in itself is ruled by Pluto. Egads. Is the only hope to do the 'virgo thing' of a step-by-step analysis? I am looking for something that can 'click' that is more intuitive.
Within this chart you can see a 'way out' in that Mercury is ruled by Venus (though that goes back to a conjunction with Pluto) - and that Moon itself disposing Mars/Venus. One aspect with this person I've recognized aside from the confusion in the main evolutionary axis is one wherein he fears the feminine, feels emasculated and therefore victimized by the feminine. However, I sense there could be gender switches, maybe even flip-flopping right there - but wherein he, in the past may have been not properly taken care of, protected or nurtured, and further experienced violence as a woman. Then within powerful lives as a man could have then projected that inner rage, turmoil against women. And within this life could feel more inwardly identified as female, yet feels powerless because he equates women simultaneously as weak and also as 'all powerful'.
I suppose I am hoping for something like what you shared, Rad, about the 'passport' analogy & the previous chart I posted which was a bit contradictory, too. I just feel like the push/pull here is creating some weird vacuum in the soul - like the soul itself is 'nowhere' (I mean that figuratively, or maybe not??). Is this soul at a critical crossroad? Would that be one 'phrase' to be appropriate within a signature such as this?
Thank you Rad, for your wisdom and thank you to all who may have their own insights, too. It's much appreciated!

The phrase, and pardon me for being blunt, would be 'shit or get off the pot'.
Good phrase! Sums it up nicely....Wish I could say that to this person.
Thanks and blessings!
