If Saturn square the nodes, are the houses and signs of the Nodes important, let's say North Node in 9 in Schorpio, Saturn in 7 in Leo.

Yes the houses where the Nodes are placed are important. Saturn or any planet square the Nodal axis correlates with skipped steps that will need to be resolved in order for the Soul to progress. The Soul has experienced both sides of the Nodal axis and still needs to develop one of the Nodes in order to progress, relative to the skipped step.

What Skywalker means is that both Nodes have been activated prior to the current life without either one of them being fully developed. In essence, the Soul have been flip flopping back and forth between the two Nodes in such a way that for the skipped step to be recovered one of the Nodes has to be consistently developed, focused upon, so that the other Node is the integrated through that Node. The Node that last formed a conjunction to Saturn is then the Node to be consistently developed: all will come though it. Additionally, the planetary rulers of those Nodes, and the aspects they are making to other planets, are all involved in this skipped steps until the Soul chooses to consistently develop the Node that last formed a conjunction to Saturn.

If Saturn square the Nodes in Leo in 7 in Leo, the soul needs to learn not be too arrogant in relationships , this is a simpel example but the soul also has to stay its own unique self.
The South Node is in Taurus in 3 and is the resolution Node , the North Node in Scorpio in 9 , does it mean that the soul must be more "rational" and "easy going" in relationships? This is only a very simple example, but is this the way one should "read" the Nodes square a plantet?

As you point out this is way to simplistic. First, and overall understanding of the entire birth chart must be understood in order to provide to core/ individual context in order to rightly understand why any given symbol manifests the way it does relative to the ongoing evolutionary / karmic needs of the Soul. In the example you are using the core issue with Saturn being in Leo in the 7th is one of a fundamental narcissistic focus within the context of relationships. So the evolutionary question then becomes why has the Soul chosen to do that. With the S.Node in Taurus in the 3rd this would then typically manifest as using others in order to actualize itself, it's needs, in the context of the relationship(s) that the Soul is in. Again, why ? This Node would also correlate to a Soul that apparently withdraws communicating from the partner in the context of the relationship on a cyclic basis. Again, why ? The evolutionary role, intent, of the N.Node being in Scorpio is to create necessary confrontations within the Soul itself, and in the relationships it forms to others in general, and intimate others specifically. These confrontations are intentional by way of the Soul in order evolve beyond the existing limitations of it's reality, Saturn, at any point in time. The intent within this in to induce the awareness of honesty and truth relative to the subjective reality, and the motivations and reasons for what that subjective reality is about.
The skipped steps revolve around these things, and much more, and of course involve many other Souls that the Soul has been in relationship to prior to the current life in which a breaking off has occurred that has not allowed for the relationships to evolve to their natural evolutionary conclusions. Thus, repeating key and core relationships from the Soul's past in order to resolve that which has not been resolved before.
There is of course much more. But this is to give you a little example of what you are asking about.
