Question: Lucifer in Gemini in the 11th

Hi everyone, I'm a new member here.  I just wanted to post a question I've been thinking about...

I was trying to get a sense of Lucifer in Gemini in the 11th house and I'm not sure if I'm understanding it correctly.  From Jeff's workshop he stated that Lucifer in Gemini manifests as a temptation of following the next "trend" or saying different things to different people for instance.  He also wrote that the antidote was through Sagittarius which was honesty at all costs. 

Looking at it in terms of the houses, doesn't the 11th house also refer to society, groups, etc.  Would that mean that Lucifer in Gemini in the 11th house would have a double inclination to follow or be influenced with the crowd so to speak?  So with the polarity point of Fifth House/Leo, the individual would need to find their own personal sense of identity separate from others?  I'm not sure if this makes any sense or if I'm making it too simplied.  Would appreciate any thoughts regarding this...

I'm not an expert on Lucifer.  Others may have something to add as to the Bearer of Light in Gemini 11th.

Again, it is really about grokking the ARCHETYPES, and the applying those to your query. So reading the practice thread about the 11th and this thread may be a good start.

HI Julie,

It is always important to understand the individual reality / context of anyone so as to know how any given symbol in a birth chart will manifest.  From an archetypal point of view Lucifer in Gemini in the 11th can be very susceptible to the influence of others ideas and opinions to the point of allowing that influence to dictate their own thinking processes, to dictate the nature of their own ideas, and the opinions that manifest from those ideas. They can be very susceptible to negative thoughts that have the affect of blocking them from taking action on their own unique  ideas manifesting as plans for their own lives: the future path for them self. They can be very susceptible to others who appear as 'friends' in their life yet such 'friends' are not friends at all: they are individuals that have double agendas that reflects a core duplicity within them. In turn, when such influences have been allowed to exit it can then cause the person them self to become duplicit with others and because of that duplicity create some degree of trauma for others. It can cause them to be less than truthful, it can cause them to in fact lie.

The influence of evil can attempt to create ideas within the person's mind that simply are not true, yet the person, paradoxically, feels that they are true. This can then set in motion a course of action that itself is rooted in delusion. Conversely, the Bearer of Light within the Lucifer symbol can do just the opposite: to induce ideas within the individuals consciousness that are revolutionary in some way to the point of those ideas benefiting others. There can in fact be a sense of genius or true uniqueness about them because of the influence of God. In the same way this archetype can manifest through one in such a way that the person can be the very best of friends to another, as one who can help others 'objectify' their own reality, and, in so doing, help others find solutions to their own lives. In essence, to help others find their own truths, their own natures.

The key in this symbol within all of this is for the person  to objectively identify that which is their own actual nature, and the truths about what that nature is. Thus, to throw off or rebel against any idea, or the pressure to conform to a specific lifestyle that comes from the Soul's immediate peer group, and, through extension, the overall society of birth that expects to conform to what is 'normal' according to the consensus of that society of birth. If the Soul makes the effort to live according to it's own truths, and the lifestyle that would correlate too, then they will be living in harmony with themselves. If not, if they give in to the pressure to conform from either the peer group, or the society of birth, then the potential to be influenced by evil within the symbol of Lucifer in Gemini in the 11th can exist, and manifest in the ways above.

Thank you Linda, Dhyana, and Rad for sharing your insights and suggestions.  I really do appreciate it.  I feel that I have a better understanding of it.  I guess sometimes I have a difficult time understanding it in terms of how it all fits together at times especially when it deals with aspects and houses but from what I understand, I probably need to focus more on understanding the archetypes more fully and deeply.  Thank you again.
