Asteroid Goddesses - the undistorted Natural/Divine Feminine

Hi Kristin and All,

a Lilith thread would be much appreciated, so you can count me in. Hope it can go forward.
The energy is strongly pointing that way for all women and personally that would also be very synchronistic as i am going through strong "root" transits - transiting SN about to be exact conjunct natal lilith and trine SN lilith, with natal SN lilith conjunct jupiter, and natal lilith conjunct moon that are then square moon's nodes, so talking about recovery time for sure.

In the spirit of your previous posts, and given that pallas is currently conjunct Lilith, i ended up going back to Demetra George and particularly enjoyed her chapter on the Soul Work of Pallas Athena, i quote:

"The Soul work for the Pallas Athene woman is to recover her lost feminine origins; "to see her not as a goddess who has renounced her femininity, but as one who teaches us to recognise courage and vulnerability, creativity and receptivity, as equal feminine qualities".

This so fits the present energy of powerful women like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Her natal lilith is conjunct NN lilith at 1/7 Sag.! This is a women who ruined a pair of shoes campaigning, so she did it with her own feet on the ground and, looking from the outside, very much rooted in herself, her own creativity, her own intelligence, not neglecting her beauty and femininity and not afraid to look vulnerable just because she was facing an immense job. And that was her strength, such an example!

In my view, after dwelling on it, i would say this slow recovery work is first, and pretty much in essence, a call for women to stop fixing what is not wrong in themselves and put on the shoes for their own sake. And since undistorted female energy is naturally giving, that will be very positively manifested outside, in the right away and atmosphere. It think this is a pretty crucial step. To locate any inner (or outer) "something is wrong with me" when it isn't, because that would be exactly locating that saturnian conditioning and stepping away, detaching. What i think it then starts to happen naturally has a consequence of that is an opportunity to tap in an immense creative place within themselves that is incorruptible, maybe lilith herself.
Although, i am drawn to feel every woman's root will tend to harmonize/integrate in a very personal/unique way all of the Goddesses/chakras in the essence of this same root, will you say so?
Also Kristin, i wonder where do you see ceres and juno fit, or don't fit at all, with Lilith and the original female root? Is it because they were the mother and the wife, so implicating the existence of an external other, not exclusively the process of integrating inner female/male within the self?

Thank you as always for your time and wisdom,
Helena

Rad

Hi Kristin,

Thanks for taking the time to share and post your excellent examples of the original Lilath, and it's Nodal Axis. I truly hope that the proposed thread you asked others about can truly happen because it can be so helpful for both men and women to understand exactly what the original feminine archetypes are, and how to unlock those original soul fingerprints.

And thanks too to Helena for her thoughts about this, and the relevant questions she is asking.

God Bless, Rad

Hi Everyone,

I would like to participate in this thread...

I would also at some point when I'm ready  like to share my own Lilith story and how I started to heal myself from deep patriarchal distortion and the resulting victimization I have felt in this life with the supporting EA behind the story.

Thank you,
Heather

Kristin

Hi Helena,

This is an ideal time to be diving in and working on your Lilith root. It is no coincidence that when you posted on Pallas and Lilith, these two Goddess Asteroids were conjunct.

Many years ago, when I was developing material for a workshop on the 7 natural roots of women, Evolution of the Goddess, I consulted with JWG and Demetra and they both felt that we are limited with using Greek mythology as symbols of the natural roots of women due to the patriarchal stories that pervade these myths.

I was in search for the Goddess ruler of the HEART chakra. I explored many different asteroids here, including Juno. But if you know the story of Juno, the asteroid for devotion and union, she was married to Jupiter who would tie her to a bed post while he was out gallivanting with other women. This obviously speaks directly to the submissive woman and the furthest thing from an equal.

Lilith was considered to be Adam's first consort, pre-Eve, but she refused to be submissive to a man, refused to lie beneath him in any way. So she rebelled and flew into the night in a rage never to return. She represents this original feminine root, wild, alluring and yes, even rebellious if anyone tries to get in her natural way or tries to mess with her need for equality. In her original nature, one thing she would never do is apologize for how she was created. That is what I call a natural woman!

So, I agree, for women to start by fixing what is not wrong in themselves.
This is seen in the Virgo/Pisces axis and the Garden of Eden Myth.

After Lilith's fllee, Eve is created from the rib of Adam, a patriarchal creation. She is made to feel guilty because of Adam's choice to eat the forbidden fruit. Adam says, "If you weren't so desirable, I wouldn't have sinned." Women have been made to feel responsible for man's spiritual downfall and feel they must be punished.

Adam feels guilty for eating the forbidden fruit and blames Eve for her erotic pull and this guilt turns into anger. The Sado/Masochistic loop lives on and will continue until the conditioned guilt is expunged and women allow themselves to celebrate the power of what patriarchal men have felt so threatened by and in so many cases destroyed.

Lilith has many faces, so in working on Lilith and the Nodes to uncover the root feminine nature of the Soul in question, you are free to weave in other asteroids as they become prominent, such as Ceres or Pallas stories, and speak to their influence.

Peace,
Kristin

P.S.

Awesome about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Lilith, can we get a time on her?
See attached..one of my favorite images of Obama when he was running.
He literally wore out the bottom of his shoes as well.

Kristin

Hi Heather,

Great...and welcome.

I would like to focus on developing the archetypes first and using examples as you do so as in the houses, signs and aspects before using personal examples.

However, at some point it may be fruitful for those participating in this thread to share a personal experience with the intent to encourage others along their way.

Peace,
Kristin

Hi Everyone,

Ok thank you Kristin for teaching us all here...

Heather

Nerissa

This is very awesome, Kristin! Your insights & this idea for a new thread

It's so funny because the other day after I read what you had posted...I needed to really digest & internalize it...
&...with much going on within my life....turns out Lillith is just past an exact return in my chart
Also balsamic conjunction with mercury, give a degree...then will be with Pluto, too
and...
These three oppose Pallas Athene...

Very much incredible timing!
I sure hope that you do this new thread.....
Thanks!

Helena

Hi Kristin, Rad, Heather and All,

Kristin, is always such an immense moment of clarity to read your words. Thank you, really.
This that you wrote, "one thing she would never do is apologize for how she was created. That is what I call a natural woman!", is very important to remember because i think most women that have not abandon the desire to be true to themselves have it at their core but in a very exhausted soul.
And yes, you are wright of course, seeing it as it is there certainly is no coincidence to Pallas, as my natal pallas is conjunct saturn (ruling that lilith), both retrograde in leo, so again more to tap in, as in every woman and every soul's story we have this Goddesses walking along with us no matter what... one just got love astrology as a supreme teacher on natural law :-)
Looking forward to continue to learn from all you have been teaching us.

It is really funny the Obama picture you posted! I don't have the birth time for Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, just the birth date, October 13 1989.

Rad, also thank you very much for your words. I completely agree with you about this being important for women as much as for men. I think that if all souls will have this male/female imprint throughout their evolution, raising consciousness is as much as recovering divinity for both male and female archetypes, instead of a polarised discourse. Even though female souls are the ones that most seem to feel this emergency of course, i hope this new neptune in capricorn generation will start to blend it in, as they are already starting to do form what i see.

Heather, so nice to hear from you! Nerissa, great to hear from you too. :-)

Best to All,
Helena

Nerissa

If I'm not mistaken: it's interesting to note that, the south node of lillith is hanging out with Pluto's north node - lillith's past being crucial to pluto's future (to put in simple generic terms) - not surprisingly being in Cancer, the moon, the feminine
Also that the range of Lillith's north node, in Sag.,  is conjunct a certain generations Neptune!
It is clearly time to recover the spiritual, natural root and nature of this archetype

Kristin

Welcome Nerissa and Hello again Helena and Heather,

It is wonderful to feel the feminine charge.

Yes, Nerissa, It is crucial for Pluto's future, for women to recover their wholeness and to access a raw strength to be who they are no matter what. Is is essential now to return this planet to a semblance of balance. Remembering also that the North Nodes of Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter are all in CANCER.

This thread is not just for women  however, men are welcome as well. We will also be discussing Lilith and how she represent a man's IDEAL image of a woman, as well as how the distortions have impacted his journey.

Let me know if anyone else is interested in participating.

We will start simple on Sunday.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,
Kristin

Hi Kristin and All,

Just wish to leave a link to a very interesting author whose work lies exploring mythology and archetypal symbolism, always with a keen insight. I found this article by chance in the sequence browsing my old bookmarks and another article by this author, and is quite synchronistic of our present discussion from the point of view of recovering the masculine, with a refreshing view on the transiting nodes with a healing perspective.
For anyone interested here it is the link

Hi Kristin and all, I will be following along on the MB.  This is a particularly busy time for me so I don't know how much time I can spend on contributing to the subject but I will do my best.  Thank you for the discussion on this important asteroid. Love to all.  DDD

Kristin

Hello Helena, Heather, and Nerissa, (and I invite anyone else who would like to jump in)

We will start simple by expanding upon the Asteroid Lilith in Aries or in the 1st House archetype, looking at her nature ~ Original, Distorted and Resolution.

Please work to develop this trinity in your own words and understanding of this archetype.

I am re-posting what I wrote and I am adding a bit on her sexuality but that can be developed as well.

LILITH in ARIES/1st House

She storms out of the womb with her feet on fire, ready to take on the world. She works fast and feeds off of the speed of the desires that burn deep within her. She is passionately charged and as with all fire signs, she comes into this life with a special sense of destiny, in many cases to raise the bar for women, and to balance the scales of gender, seen in the cardinal axis that she shares with Cancer, Capricorn and Libra. She is a natural leader, born with all the qualities to motivate and inspire others where they naturally want to follow her. At times they may not even know why they are following her, but they feed off of her brave tenacity and on the heels and the heat of her pursuits.

In her most natural form, she is a warrior who needs full freedom to express what is emanating from her root, without limitation or restriction, a woman who needs to be in charge of her freedom, to follow her instinct wherever it leads. Being a cardinal sign, she has the fiery spirit of initiation and the courage to take just about anything on. She has a fierce edge to her nature; nothing can stop her once she is up and running. But because the cardinal reflects something new, the energy is inevitably coupled with an insecurity of not knowing where it will lead. In addition, an inherent responsibility exists within this cardinal axis, each cardinal sign shouldering the burden of whatever has been set in motion, in this case with Aries square to Capricorn. She will be the first one out of the tent when there is danger lurking.

Aries can have blind spots as they are moving so fast on the freeway of life. They may miss what is going on at the back wings of their flight if their full focus is always fast and forward, seen in the square to Capricorn.

The relationships she will attract will have a strong sense of adventure and she must feel that they are always moving forward in life, ever growing and experiencing all the world has to offer. She will also wish to be challenged to be all she can be and the energy of the other must know what she is made of so he or she can support and keep up with this kind of movement.

Sexual Nature

Her Sexual nature is to be number one, with the desire to initiate gestures of love, attention and affection, and she is most often the one who will initiate the 'ultimate act'. Within this, she is a Soul who prefers being 'on top' (this would also be true for one with Lilith in the 10th or in Capricorn), allowing her to be in a position to direct the rhythm at her will. The Aries archetype alone will enjoy experiencing the feeling of the sexual surge as she comes to know more about who she is in those physical bursts. There does not need to be any kind of attachment or committed relationship in order for her to step into that space with another for it is all about the new, the uninhibited and the freedom to explore places she has never been.

Distorted

Flight or fight. If someone tries to control or limit her, she'll be gone. If she is forced to deny her nature and repress her instinct, the energy can turn into anger and rage, along with resentment that builds due to the square to Capricorn, especially anger at the very culture or system that limits her. When her buttons get pushed, she can be known to turn and burn in relationships. She will attract partners who meet some of her needs, not all of her needs in order to guarantee an exit point.

With Mars ruling Aries and the lower octave of Pluto, the distorted form of Aries in this context could translate into the woman with a dagger in her boot, for she has so much inner rage at all that went wrong, most often the rage directed at the patriarchal male in general, that she ends of going after her closest target.

Resolution

Once the wrapping of Saturn linked with conditioning is removed, she will need to be in charge of her freedom, she will need to follow what darts up from the deep, and not question its origin, but to trust what is needed for her Soul's next steps in all the ways that Aries is naturally expressed. She will will lead in overt or quieter ways but she will lead nevertheless, even if she didn't ask for that role. At the very least, she will lead by example

It's time to unravel the repression,

With passion and peace,
Kristin

Nerissa

Hi Kristen,

I will endeavor to keep up with this thread as I can...but with Uranus back in aries my Uranus/Uranus opposition strikes back ;)

Today, I thought I'd have to say I could not participate due to lack of internet, much less electricity...but: for now, looks like I'll have both

It's hard to add to what you've already posted!
But as I was thinking of relating to the symbols....really occurred to me I'm not sure I have the original archetype fully fleshed out within my mind.

I certainly understand the distorted!....but, the original archetype seems so utterly buried, repressed that it seems that it is so foreign to anything almost remotely what we'd call 'feminine' in many ways that it's hard to even speak of it

It could be I am confusing things.
Lillith, if it is the original feminine - would seem to be, in a way, a symbol of synthesis & wholeness - the opposites united and brought forth....it would not be 'just' feminine...but the totality of male/female.

It's a bit confusing, then, in a way - to me anyway: because female is the 'opposite' of male and yet the primordial feminine births BOTH...

What we assign to either/or male/female in the primordial feminine contains it all.
Maybe I am confusing Lillith with a more greater Goddess archetype...?

So, when I think of Lillith in Aries or 1st house: I think of, in it's natural state, a real merging of the male/female sexual principles and drives....the instinctive desire nature would be intense, but broad ( because of the Mars/masculine qualities of Aries/1st) And the instinctive drive to right action would be aligned with the protective instinct...again the feminine in natural state within the Aries function...

I won't say more for now....thinking I am not seeing the 'original' archetype clearly...?

Thank you!

Kristin

Hi Nerissa,

YES. Being that Aries is cardinal/yang, and thus naturally masculine, Lilith in Aries/1st house is a Soul who will naturally emanate masculine within the feminine. Lilith in Aries/1st house is part of the cardinal combination where gender assignment exists in Cancer and Capricorn and that need for BALANCE of both is reflected in the Libra archetype. A Soul who is naturally male and female would apply here with respect to the ORIGINAL Lilith in Aries/1st house. In her original form, yes, she is equally masculine and feminine.

Nice addition.

Perhaps you can share more on the distorted and thus the resolution.

Take your time to feel through this progression.

Kristin
