Dear Rad and all,

A colleague and dear friend of mine, Joy Harjo, has just had an asteroid named after her.  She just finished a three year stint as the 23rd Poet Laureate of the United States, more below... We are trying to find the asteroid's longitude and where it was in her natal chart:

Chart Data to share

We would both appreciate any help in getting its discovery location and her natal location.. thanks I am asking because I have seen help here before in finding new asteroids... right?

She loves JWG's EA. Has his books. Currently Uranus and the North Node are on her natal 18 Taurus Sun..as she got this news.. Neptune at 25 Pisces is also exactly opposite her Saturn at 25 Virgo.

Grattitude...
Tashi

(43574) Joyharjo = 2001 FU192

Discovery: 2001-03-26 / M. W. Buie / Kitt Peak / 695

Joy Harjo (b. 1951) is a member of the Mvskoke Nation and author of poetry, prose, plays, children's books, music albums and other creative works. She is the 23rd Poet Laureate of the United States, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and recipient of numerous other awards. Joy contributed a poetic message carried on NASA's Lucy spacecraft.

I hope you will pass on to Joy that we are all very pleased that she honored us with her words for the Lucy plaque and her presence at launch. Marc Buie, the discoverer of this asteroid, is a member of the Lucy science team, and was happy to contribute this object for naming.

You can find details of the object named, a Main Belt asteroid, here:

And the visualization tool lets you look at the orbit (feel free to play around with the various controls – it is a very flexible tool):
