Please could someone confirm Phasal/Aspect here?

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're well.

Firstly, Apologies and Thanks in advance for my total novice question... 
I am working hard on trying to understand and integrate the Aspects/Phases within my mind!  I know, as i've been reading on here for quite some time; this is to be expected.

Could someone please have a look at the attached chart and confirm to me that I am right in my calculations that Venus is in a Balsamic Phase to Mars? Specific Aspect is 2 degrees off from a non-stressful Novil aspect?
I hope so.  I have taken the fastest moving planet (venus) and counted counter clockwise until I reached mars.  Or have I gone the wrong way around?

You did it right, your Venus is in balsamic conjunction to Mars.

Hello Ladies,

Actually, that is incorrect.

The Mars/Venus are in a NEW phases here.

Take the slower moving planet, which is Mars, and count the degrees of separation between Mars and Venus moving counter clockwise, so from Mars toward Venus.

Mars is 27 degrees of Taurus and Venus is 4 degrees of Cancer. That makes it 37 degrees of separation, so this is a New Phase.

Also, it is not a conjunction. If it were a conjunction, it would need to be within 10 degrees of separation.

Thanks for jumping in.  Yeah, it was kinda 50-50 if I were going the wrong way around.

*If*you have a moment, could you clarify these phases between the following planetary pairs, to be sure i'm going in the right direction?

Moon Saturn - Saturn is starting point = 218 degrees of separation = Full Phase. 2 degrees off from a Biquintle.
Mercury Jupiter - 163 degrees of separation = Gibbous Phase. No aspect

Its an OLD new phase.....so how does that play out as opposed a New new phase....more consciousness around whatever is symbolised?

'Old new phase' = Do you mean because it's nearing the end of the phase -(37 degrees) and only 8 degrees from next (Crescent) phase? 

Reading Deva's book, its only 3 degrees off from a novil/non-aspect (40 degrees exact) and she writes:

"The formation of a conscious awareness and identification of the evolutionary intentions of the pluto aspect now triggers a gestation process where further personal growth (subjective awareness) relative to the intentions of the pluto aspect can manifest. We become aware that we are moving in a new direction and that the new direction is very personal in nature. The sense of self discovery is intensified as we give the evolutionary intention of the pluto aspect a personal and individual meaning."

All sounds good and I take a guess that yes, in answer to your question, more consciousness/awareness is being developed.
But this is a Mars/Venus aspect. So what is played out? How would this manifest?

Yes that's exactly what i mean, the phases are progressions and what i really love about Jeff's work is the ability to move the archetypes through time and space by using the phases.....so yes whatever was started in the new phase conjunction is now a little toddler that demands more attention....i think...

ZeniaRose, You can overlap this image with your chart to determine the phases in order to get used to some of the more obscure degrees.

Yes, and since it's only 2 degrees of separation from the exact biquintile degree, then it is considered a biquintile because it is within the orb.

Thank You, for input and chart. I have this from here, but didn't use as yet. At the moment, the counting seems to solidify the teaching!

One more thing if I may; Goldleaf's comment about it being an OLD NEW PHASE got me thinking.  As this is a  Mars/Venus aspect, how would this manifest?  Which would initiate the required transformation - Venus or Mar?
What would this look like?

Sorry I missed the question you posted. I'm guessing to get to the mars/Venus you'd have to look at the whole chart, but you'd think with Taurus mars in fourth house the soul is desiring/working on developing some deep emotional security.

Mars in also in new phase with chiron, so this soul has been wounded in very recent lives?  and the Balsamic Uranus Jupiter opposite the moon stuff is also interesting in terms of time and space.....recent trauma to beliefs about family?

Venus rules the mars in the seventh/cancer (inner security in diverse relationships), so this soul needs to develop that inner security to initiate the diversity of relationships it needs...I know this is very basic stuff but maybe this soul has a nascent awareness of how to begin initiating different types of relationship?.... Is this a soul that has had lifetimes of relating in more formal capacities and has therefore denied their own internal desires and needs and in very recent lives has experienced trauma to this belief about relating, has this trauma been brought into the souls consciousness through family/home life in its widest application?

I'm just shooting in the dark but just my initial thoughts....

Sorry, I think  Jupiter is in NEW Phase to Uranus...and the pluto saturn combo....
