Pluto II book translation into Spanish

Hi all,
A few years ago I translated the Pluto II book into Spanish. I have not made enough money to get it published, though. The rights have to be acquired from the English publisher. It would be great that the book became available to Spanish readers. So, if someone here is interested in getting the book published, I can donate the translation  so that this can be done, provided that this is acceptable to the EA School.

Hi all,
Linda has kindly offered to help with the edition of the trsnslation. At some point I will have to make the money to get it done. Sorry for wanting to give up. Perhaps its just because I'm too tired.

Hi Gonzalo,

The Pluto books are now being published by the school. This is an indication that JWG holds the rights, not his former publisher from back when. If I were you I would get in touch with Deva about this. It may be that Deva can get you the permission you need and the book can be published through the school.

Hi Cat,

The Pluto books are not being published by the school at all. They are published through Wessex Publications in England. They have the rights for both Pluto one and two as well as Essays in Evolutionary Astrology. All the other books are published through the JWG School of EA. We are going to explore with Wessex buying the foreign rights for those books though. If we can do that then we would be able to publish through the school.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking of Llewelyn. I forgot about Wessex. :-)

For your info... when I signed with Wessex I reserved the foreign language rights. Since Wessex unlike Llewellyn does not actively seeks to translate works they have the rights to. Margaret at Wessex was very amicable about letting me have the foreign language rights. I would hope it would be the same for the Pluto books?

Hi Pat,

Yes, we just found that out about Wessex yesterday. So we are in fact 'free' to put any and all of the EA works into other languages, and publish it ourselves via Amazon as we have been in the recent books that we have put out under the JWG Evolutionary Astrology banner. And that is, in fact, exactly what we are going to do now. We will be putting out notices to folks who have the ability to translate into whatever language the various books that we have.

Hi Rad,
This is great news indeed. I'll take the steps so that the Pluto II book Spanish translation is ready for publishing asap, ie. I'll check if another review of the traslation is necessary. It's already been reviewed twice, once by a friend/EA student and once myself, but still need to check if it is ready. Then it should go to Linda for the edition and diagramming.

Also, I'll inquire with a local EA student who is a proffesional translator about the possibility of translating or co-translating other of the EA books. That would be super.

Hi Gonzalo,

That would be great to put as many of the other EA books into Spanish as possible. The Spanish edition of Pluto One is no longer in print so that would be a great next book to do if you, and those that work with you, could do that.
