When determining the phase between the Sun and Pluto which is preferred as the stationary point (and why)?

Hi Sabrina,

Phasal relationship - between the Sun and a planet

When working with the Sun and a planet, the Sun is always the baseline, meaning you treat it as if it is the slower moving planet. Count the number of degrees between the two planets. Go from the Sun to the planet, counter-clockwise, that is, from left to right. (Steve)

The Sun is always considered the "slower moving planet" as in actuality it is not moving and is the point of integration for the entire chart. Therefore the same method would be used for determining the phasal relationship between the Sun and the Moon as well as the Sun and Pluto for example. (Ari Moshe)

Thanks,

Linda
